Lovepac President, Robert Sibthorpe, has successfully completed the Wilderness First Responder curriculum!
The course involves 80 hours of training focused on teaching students to assess situations and provide solutions to treat patients. A wilderness first responder is trained to provide pre-hospital care in remote locations and have skills to transport patients in non-motorized means in a stressful wilderness setting. Robert Sibthorpe is now certified to administer epinephrine to treat anaphylaxis and severe asthma, medical oxygen, use an automated external defibrillator, and perform CPR.
